Can good come from this?

I asked myself did Risdale really believed he was going to get investment and bring in players.

Was he wrong to steady the club and service its continuing debt in order for the club to survive by now not signing anyone and using the season tk money for that purpose.

He has made an apology of sort and yes I am in the camp that we were not told the truth. However, if in the future investment is secured and stability for however long is achieved - which would be welcome, is he wrong to have made such a hard decision? Would you have made such a decision to safe the club if in his shoes?

It has to be recognised he was given a chance at City to redeem his past and money alone cannot buy integrity and who would not give anyone a second chance in life - thats why I believe he apologised - to maintain integrity and to be fair he has kept the club afloat to date and got us fans a stadium for hopefully generations to come.

For me selling a house or a car is a nightmare - let alone a football club and there are other clubs like Millwall as has been mentioned who have not been bought in recent time.

When Sam came I for one enjoyed the success, after a long awaited change of luck that our club desperately needed and despite the mistakes - glad he came, will the same be said about Risdale - I hope so in the long term.

Only time will tell and if things really go pear shape then a 10 point deduction, possibly 1 div football in a brand new stadium isn't all that bad with no debt at the levels they are now, unless of course we go totally bust. Of course we will be back to us die hards or will we as I for one on reflection believe as others do I am sure - now is the time for the supporters to unite and not fragment, the Trust to become strong and a powefull voice in the future - for me this will be a good thing.

So out of this cloud of depression at present what good do you want to see come out of it ?

Ps - Glad to once again participate in a good footballing messageboard.
