The quote in the Echo was that the Council Executive are concerned about the 'high salaries' earned at boardroom level.

I have one question. I assume Ridsdale has income from other sources other than his job as chairman here so why does he need such a big pay packet when there are other chairmen (I hate to use him as an example but Huw Jenkins) who take little if no money out of the club?

The wages need to be restructured a.s.a.p. From the top to the bottom.

Just my opinion but I wouldn't be surprised if Ridsdale lives his private life as recklessly as he conducts his business affairs. In that case he needs all the cash he can lay his hands on.

I hope the council say no as even if Ridsdale gets the land to sell and pays the tax bill we are obviously running way, way above our means so this scenario will more than likely come about again and in the meantime Ridsdale will just employ a few more of his mates on £100,000's a year.

All documents that go to the councils executive decision process are public documents. Might be interesting to see the figures that they give to the council.
