Why would the Malaysians come in before admininstration?

Sat Jan 30, 2010 10:28 am

In all honesty? They have no emotional tie to the club.

If they are in the background surely they are waiting for us to go into administration and then to get the club for a pittance which can only be a good thing surely?

It's not inconceivable that we could get in playoffs even with 10 point penalty.

they would be pretty daft to allow a ten point deduction maccy bearing in mind where we are in the table.
if we went up via the playoffs there would be an instant return on their investment.
the deduction of ten points would put an end to that i think.
i believe that they are sat back waiting for the club to put its house in order regarding certain issue's

and we all know what those certain issues are

Maybe - the problem is, waiting for after admin occurs is a risk.

It's akin to teams waiting for say Ledley to go out of contract. Wait, sure you don't have to pay a transfer fee but you run the risk of other teams coming in offering better deals potentially.

Same with admin. Administrator duty is to get the maximum return for credittors. Malaysians wait, AN Other then comes in with an offer preferrable to the administrator, benefits credittors more...

So it's a risk/reward issue. Admin happens, administrator as I've said has a duty to credittors to maximise their return. That would almost certainly mean selling assets - as in players.

It boils down to the Malaysians or AN Other buying before admin, spending more money as a consequence, retaining the playing staff, not having a points deduction which improves our chances of promotion OR waiting till after admin, players will go, ponits will be deducted - can be more than ten depending on how we exit administration plus goodwill with all credittors will be totally shot.

But if we go into admin surely the price would be so much smaller?

Steve just have to say really enjoy and appreciate your posts on here. Really knowledgeable and to the point.

I'd say they are the people behind the land sale.

They are waiting for us to go into admin, meaning they will get the club for a fraction of the price, also ridsdale would be out. which in other threads i am led to believe they dont want him?

I don't think they are waiting for us to go into Admin just to get us cheap - it doesn't make sense.

Yes the club will be cheaper but at what true cost? We'll have lost 10 points and all of our major assets (players). This effectively ends any promotion hopes. In addition, they then have to try and rebuild a squad to the standard of the current one, then of course try to improve it further. Our reputation will be tarnished which might put new players off.

All of this rebuilding coupled with a longer time line to get to the premier will end up costing them more than what they'll save by waiting for us to go into admin.

Maybe they are waiting for the window to close, hence why they alledgedly have helped out with the wage bill yesterday ??

then, club goes into admin, 10 points off, but no players leave giving the malaysians the opportunity to get the lot ?

Only thing is, other parties can also bid for the club then.

I don't think they would wait for administration. True, they may pick up the club for a song, but I'm guessing that the club would listen to any offer at the moment., so the 'saving' may not be worth the 10pt deduction.

Agree Steve..... also will get it cheaper anyway as previous in a " rescue package"

I think they are waiting, but not for administration but, close to it. Then the shareholders will still have to lower the price but not have to go into admin and take the points deduction or sell the players.

I think they will own before the end of the season....... :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Cos they want it as cheap as possible. Atm the ship appears to be sinking so they will hold out for as long as possible.
