Yep, just delaying the inevitable really. What this is all really about is keeping CCFC trading legally long enough for a takeover bid (the board hope) so they can recoup some of their losses/make a profit. If the club goes into admin (which it eventually will without a take-over) its curtains for shareholders and creditors

I believe all council executive decisions are subject to a 14 day 'call in' period.

Are the council planning to waiver this to their best mate PR.

I believe PR has only been kept on as the directors know that he has the council in his pocket.

Another thing the sale of the land/building of the house of sport won't they be subjected to procurement laws.

This two points more so the 1st one will take us over the tax mans deadline.

The club had an agreement with the City Council to build the House of Sport by December 31st this year otherwise it was in breach of the orginial agreement which gifted the land the stadium/retail park is built on to the club. If the club did default the Council would have taken the Hotel and House of Sport land plots back into Council ownership.

Building work on the HoS had to start by January of this year to meet the deadline.

The 'Golden Ticket' scheme was first launched in November 2009 with a deadline of 31st December (co-incidence?) and the club intended to raise £3m, which by 'co-incidence' was the sum needed to 'build' the House of Sport.

So the whole aim of the Golden Ticket Scheme from the off was to fund the House of Sport construction.

The Hotel land was always going to be sold to asset stripper Paul Guy who again is in line to make millions of pounds out of a club and sport he has no interest and would explain why the 'major' shareholders support the Chairman.

Spoke with someone from the trust before the game who agreed with what I told him but was not aware that Guy was coming on the board but certainly true that Guy is buying the land.

the ticket money was not earmarked for the house of sport at any stage
steve borley has been months trying to get a local developer interested in building the hos and none have been forthcoming.
you are right about the council deadline though and so this allows steve to put money into the club and by building the hos it removes another stumbling block for potential investors as they would not want to stump up 3.5 million for what is potentially a white elephant.
although i do believe the club will use the facilities when built and this will save the vale of glamorgan rent bill.
With reference to paul guy i am always amazed at the number of people who constantly slate the guy because without his input the club would have gone ages ago
people should know that PMG were paying the clubs wages 6 months before sam was ousted and it was them who made up the shortfall for the stadium build.
Pmg are owed about 10 million by the club at the moment and although its secured on player sales etc do you really think if we sold a player now for 3 to 4 million paul would call it in and let the club fold.
the hotel land that he is buying has been touted to every major hotel chain with no interest. yes there might be interest when the economy picks up but at the moment it is being done just to allow the club to survive.
i am aware that what annis is saying about paul rejoining the board is correct.
i also believe the measure's being taken now will satisfy the potential investor to enable him to commit.
lastly just for clarity our chairman mr "where's my applause" has had nothing to do with these deals whatsoever and has once again tried to jump on a bandwagon and suprisingly wont be injecting any money himself

Tony a lot of that I believe is True.

Don't forget though, lads. We have to repay 40% of the price we get for that land to the Council. It's a way to keep to club running in the short-term so I suppose we should be grateful but asking us to applaud it is a bit rich.
