At the Muni meeting Ridsdale said the Hotel land was worth £5m 3 years ago and to use a comparision Ninian Park was sold for £7m. Since the credit crunch that land has apparently fallen in value to £1.8m.

I'm no expert on land prices but that seems a hell of a drop (60%?) which is completely out of sink with say house prices.

I'm not sure when the hotel would be built, but when Thomson House was knocked down, a hotel was meant to be uilt on that land and flats/apartments were supposed to go in between our new office building and the new hotel. To date, the plans for a new hotel haven't even been submitted due to financial matters. So, eeven though the land will have been purchased for it, don't hold your breath to book a room outside our ground.

But, as long as the land is bought and the taxman paid off, who cares, right?

I dont know, but its A GOLD MINE with Planning permission on it, I reckon £6 Mill at least, PMG dont buy property/land unless its A BARGAIN.

If that packet of land is worth £6M in the current environment, surly a consortium of local businessmen could purchase it. It would massively help out the club, stop PMG from taking advantage of the club, be an excellent investment & also give Cardiff the much needed Pie Warehouse/Book shop, it's crying out for!!

I agree i rekon its all been a set-up, borley may have been doing it for the love of club years ago but not any more, its all for his and guys own finacial gain....its unfortunate for us and TBF we would all prob do the same...

thats why I aked the question, its a f*cking disgrace how guy is tucking us up, but still wants to be seen as a savior!!!
