PETER RIDSDALE lived the dream. Good on him. Those who follow his teams will eventualy live the nightmare. Considering the Iraq Inquiry was reaching it's peak, his turn of phrase was unfortunate last week.

"It was the unanimous decision that to have regime change at this moment would be inappropriate"

What is inappropriate is Ridsdale is still chairman of a club. Asked to buy their season tickets early to help fund transfers, Cardiff fans loyally stumped up £3million.

It turns out Ridsdale needs the cash to pay off the taxman, although he didn't sound too confident about that at a shocking press conference.

Fit and proper? Ask Leeds fans, Barnsley fans, Cardiff fans. Regime change couldn't be more appropriate.
