Well surely writing off £10m, that is owed to you, is the same as handing a £10m cheque to the club....

sounds as if the club are playing quite a dangerous game.

the stadium was never going to get the green light while sam was at the helm.
The council have covenants in place to prevent sam ever having those type of connections with the club again
do people not seriously think the council would have covered every possible avenue to make sure they were not being duped regarding sam going away temporarily until the stadium was completed

Giving the club £10m and cancelling a loan debt that you run up are two different things though. I think if Sam does cancel £10m we should give him something in return but I don't know what. I don't think he should be an influential part of the club. Maybe some positive press for a start?
