2 phonecalls to people at Southampton FC and one to a business contact in Guernsey was all it took to show me that Ben Steele was a chancer with no intention or likely means of investing in our club.

Why couldn`t Peter have done the same rather than wasting time and money on trips , accomodation and entertaining? Or did it serve him better to keep the pretence of a potential investor going for a time , perhaps in an attempt to divert attention away from some bad news and criticism?
