Chelsea tickets handled badly - already sold out

Mon Feb 01, 2010 9:54 am

According to Mike's board, they sold out around 40 minutes after being available on the phones.

Quite a few people who have been ST holders for years - and travel away - haven't been able to get tickets.

Doesn't seem fair at all.

I got mine Friday thankfully , they way they where handled though was crap ..why did some go on sale Friday??. There will be many fans at Chelski who will be makeing there 1st away trip of the season ...I no people go on about the cost etc but what about the people who have folked out the cost of going to the majorty of away games and have a season ticket yet cant go?

People will always miss out who deserve but fair play to the club they have always said that ambassadors will have first priority on tickets, I am not saying i agree with it just saying that the club have stuck by their word (on this occassion)

forget this months dissaster the club have said for the last few seasons they want fans to buy season tickets early and will reward those who do with the ambassador benefits - priority tickets.

I feel for people who have missed out, especially if they're ambassadors. But, I paid for my ambassador status by committing to the club early last season, so I feel that I have deserved the right to get my ticket. Maybe the club did handle it badly as I was surprised when I heard that "a proportion" was on sale online before the others. I'd like to know what that proportion was. However, I'm not sure I have too much sympathy with people who are not ambos and are complaining they couldn't get tickets, even though they have been to a number of away games this season.

When the ambo offer was launched last season, everyone knew full well that this would entitle you to priority tickets for games such as this. You would have been naive enough to think that, with less tickets available than there are ambos, there would be any left over for general sale, or away members sale. I haven't yet bought my season ticket for next season, but will be doing so in March. If this doesn't make me an ambassador and I don't get a ticket for a big away cup tie next season, then so be it. I will miss out and, if anyone comes on here and sees me moaning about no ticket, I am happy for you to cut and paste this into any reply on the subject

Anyone that travels away on the buses regularly, would have got their tickets via their rep through the block booking..Ambos who didn`t know that, obviously dont travel away much, so dont deserve one.. :thumbright:
