equals 145 tickets per minute!!! There is something not right about this. E Ticketing only operated for one hour selling a limited number of tickets. I rang from 9am and got through at 10am. They cannot possibly have sold out in that time unless block booking was allowed by some organisation or other.

The club seem to like encouraging the use of organised travel, hence all the block bookings. Same thing happened against the Jacks

the block booking is good coz it does allow the regular away travellers to go , Im and ambo and got my ticket online friday and this will only be my 3rd away game of the season .

My son and I are both ambassadors as well. Just seemed that there was something wrong with the notion that that number of tickets could go so quickly. Oh well.

Are you sure your maths are right? 5,800 was our allocation but some were sold on Friday, so we couldn't have sold that many today, surely?

The official web site said that a limited number of tickets would be sold between 4pm and 5pm on Friday. That means the majority of tickets should have gone on sale this morning.

Still not 5,800 though. Does anyone know how many were sold on Friday?

I heard Nash say to the fella 2 in front of me in the cold this morning that they sold @ 2'500 tickets friday, HIS words not mine.

I would have thought 1500 odd on Friday...2000 to travel club..Dins, Vince etc...and the rest this morning...150 were queuing early this morning some with three or four fan numbers they were let in slightly early to avoid them freezing to death...add that to the much quicker tickets sales system and you can see why they went so quick.
It was too late for this season because the rules were already in place...all ambassadors were entitled to away tickets and that includes FA CUP TICKETS...But in ffrom the start of next season a points system has to be adaopted and used to distribute away tickets in the event of this happening again...Many fans will miss out and people will be having a go at each other no doubt but whatever system used would cause arguments...however a points system would mean less arguments
This is only my personal opinion and nothing else...I have every sympathy for all those City fans who failed to get tickets..quite a few of my mates are without.

Yes and the points should be awarded for watching the previous cup games only home and away that way we should get better crowds in our cup runs
