The city players were having a chartered flight to Newcastle at approx £15,000, as were skint, they will now go on a cheap one up to Teaside on Thursday, train at Boros training ground and back on the coach after the game.

Trips like that , should be flown both ways, How much will they save? With a small squad , we have to keep them as fresh as we can. Coach trip is a long one and will take it out of the players, unless its a top notch coach where they can rest and relax. Just my opinion.

Coach trips aren't that bad if they give themselves a decent enough rest. I think for a club that is battling against financial survival I would have thought it would be common sense to cut out the £15k flights! Saying that, I did drive from here to Edinburgh via Hull and didn't find it that bad.

The coach trip is after the game so i am hoping they are not fresh and are bloody knackered after playing hard
And i am sure if the club had bothered looking they could have found some cheaper flights somewhere but probably via Amsterdam!
