Why dont all the paid Directors take a pay holiday , ie say until the end of the season. If we reach the premiership or when we are on a better financial footing they can then take what they are owed.
When I set up my business I never took a salary for 18 months and would take a salary break if my business needed it.
That is an easy way to help cut costs. I know the players cant do it I am talking specifically about the Board.

Why couldn't the players do it?

Wage cap i reckon on all the fuckers players board the lot of the big earners.
you'd think they would raffle signed footballs and shirts etc......Any possible way to raise money.....typical marketing at the club

problem with trying it with the players is,the better ones will go and play for someone else, as other Clubs will pay them the same salaries if not better.

True the board to take 50% pay cut for next 12 months should save a couple of bob a month

Ask the players if they'd take half wages, on the proviso that they get a big bonus if we get promoted.
Saves the club money and motivates them.

take your point ,however it could go the other way and De-Motivate them.

Performance related contracts should be mandatory throughout football. You win you get a decent wage, you lose, you get a shit wage. Then I'm sure we'd see a change in mentality in some of our players!
