mad march

Mon Feb 01, 2010 11:28 am

once again the fixtures are piling up and with our wafer thin squad march is going to be tough,

I think (and hope) the players have learned from the last couple of seasons and at the moment they dont want to give up.

we have had some great wins this month and oddly we will be stronger in feb because
Darcy Blake is an addition to the squad
Aaron Wildig has proved he can cope with championship football
Mcphail will hopefully soon be back
Kelvin Ethu will hopefully soon be back

so with ledley dropping out you could say we will be 3 players better off in midfield before long!!

lets not give up hope of investment and evan making use of the loan window, if the team keeps winning, the tax bill paid then surely somebody will have a serious look at the club / buy it on the cheap

I'm still a bit skeptical about Aaron Wildig. He's raw for sure but I don't think he's good enough to play week in week out. Darcy Blake is for sure and I'd have him in the centre ahead of Rae easily.

You are right though the injuries have forced Jones to seek the options we've all been suggesting for months which is a good thing.

Blake and Rae will compete for the role alongside Whitts / Mcphail which is good as they both need the other one looking over their shoulder, wildig gives us a little depth.

as for the medication lifes more fun without it, i wont get depressed until we get docked 10 pts or sell chops on the cheap until then I will keep my focus on the Riddler Out Campaign and live in hope!!

Evenn if Wildig is only played as a sub or every other game its good to know we do have a back uppl ayer for positions - and I think for a young lad he has definately held his own against the men!

Here's to getting through as many fixtures as possible with wins and minimal knocks! :ayatollah:
