We are under a transfer embargo 100% so until the tax is paid he will stay with Man City, when it is paid he can return to us.

We're under an embargo, but that shouldn't affect current loan players. As with other clubs if they've got a player on loan until the end of the season they can keep the player until the end even if they are under an embargo I think. At least that's what has happened to other clubs.
Not too sure why he's not back though

He had to go back to be treated though, didn't he?

I don't think they can return under a transfer embargo, if they've been sent back to the original club, even for injury.

that's what I Thought, with him back in the squad he'd give us another option. Especially after his top showing at west brom.

Loan players always go back to their parent club for treatment. At the end of day it's still their player and they want their medical staff to work on him.

The big question for me is who's been paying his wages while he's been injured. If it's us then he's still on loan, if it's Man City then the FA could argue that the loan has been cancelled and we can't start another one.

Did the club have an option to end the loan early? I thought that maybe we couldn't afford his wages? :?
