It seems that the club is gambling everything at the moment on getting promoted this season which it is hoped will relieve the financial position of the club due to the monies paid to Premier League clubs.
If we did manage to get promoted this season I think we would start next season at a real financial disadvantage even with the extra income.
If we get promoted we:-
1.Have to repay over 10,000 season ticket holders
2.Have to pay sam/langston a bonus (£5million I think)
3.Have to pay in full the deferred payments to the Council for the sale of the land which was passed today.
4. Still have the liability to Sam/langston as a drain on resources.
These are definite liabilities. In addition i have no doubt that Ridsdale would be on a huge "promotion bonus" approved by his cronies on the board.
More seriously, it would appear that even if we were to get promoted this year we would be not be rolling in the cash that everyone seems to imagine will come flowing in as a result of promotion.
Oh well, the parachute payments may come in handy !
