Short term problem solved...

Wed Feb 03, 2010 9:47 am

by selling some adjacent land next to the stadium to raise money, BUT long term problems just stacking up -

Next seasons revenue from season tickets already spent.
Major loan repayment to Langstone.
Significant debts to suppliers.
IF we make the prem then money back to ST holders who renewed early (£3 mil)
IF we make the prem then an immediate repayment to the council (£2 - £4 mil ???)
If we don't make the prem then a deferred payment to the council from land sale.

A very familiar "buy now pay later" for Mr. Ridsdale. Did it at Leeds and was largely responsible for their demise.

I think we'll survive this long running tax issue but how the hell can we survive next season and beyond?

A case of buying time & hoping for investment before the end of the season. A big gamble.

There is also a one off payment to Langston of £5m should we get promoted which is above and beyond the potential £15m already owed to them and which has to be paid by 2016.

Further the players would be due heafty promotion bonuses which would also run into millions
