MY BIGGEST WORRY

Wed Feb 03, 2010 5:29 pm

We had 16,000 season ticket holders This Season.

About 10,500 have re-newed and the money has gone, but if we dont get promoted after all the fiascos and spin/lies/deceipt by PR then just say he goes this month and we still dont get promoted I cant see us getting over 11,000 Season ticket holders for next season, fans are so fed up.
Only someone like the Malaysians with millions to spend would lift the gloom and still some fans would still be cautious, in MY OPINION.

I agree. The biggest worry though for me would be how we are going to generate sufficient income for next year?

That will have to be worked on as fans have lost total confidence in the Club.

Your dead right mate, this is very worrying for the future unless some pretty big investment comes in. It looks to be a case of shit or bust as far as Ridsdale is concerned. Its alright for Ridsdale, he can disappear at any moment, and leave the club in any condition, as long as he comes out with a decent pay day for himself, which Im sure he is covering every angle to achieve.

I used to think that Ridsdales success could only benefit the club, but following crisis after crisis, I think that Ridsdales agenda has departed from that which benefits the club. I think we all used to think of Ridsdale as a slick operator who gets the job done. Now I think of him as a slippery bullshitter who eventually gets the job done at a very high cost!

There has to be investment or promotion or as you and others have said before, it's admin.

The Season ticket money for next year has gone.

So say we sell another 1000 for next year that brings in say £350,000 (asuming £350 average ticket)

4000 walk up at say £25 a ticket for 30 games (asuming we have a cup run) £3m

Food and drink - sold down the river.

TV Money due in April to take us through the sumer - pretty sure this is needed to pay back the loan that we borrowed against the TV money.

I would think that financial mismanagement would come under the heading of Gross Misconduct. Now if there was anyone in that situation in our club then surely they would not get a pay off upon leaving (Ofcourse I am not suggesting for one minute that anyone involved with our club has been involved in financial mismanagement just suggesting what the outcome would be. Does that cover me with the lawyers? :D)

I'd still expect a couple of thousand to have hung on until the summer either way, but I agree with your point, unless we get some better news in the next few months our season ticket numbers are going to be a good 3-4 thousand down.

Mind you i dont actually know anyone who HASNT renewed !

We have more chance of getting 16k season ticket holders if Ridsdale leaves

How close are the malaysians to taking over?? Are they the sort of people who would bankroll us through next season???? Any info from Steve Annis, or have you been told not to say too much?

But wouldn't they just ask for the season money early again next time - does it matter if the year goes from one June/July to the next or as is now the case from Cristmas to Christmas

And I believe a lot less will buy them so early ever again.
