Maybe things are starting to become a little clearer, even though ridsdale had very little to do with the money side of the land sale. Maybe the rest of the board knew that his influence on the council would sway them to agree the deal and at least show a bit of stability.now that the short term future is a little better ,would this not give borley and co more room to operate and get him out and our malasyian friends in.

Thats good news, but if ridsdale keeps hanging on to the club, the malaysians wont come on board, is there a possibility they will come on board while ridsdale is still here, and then sort of say on your fooking bike ridler!!!

You have to remember that Ridsdale has a minority shareholding. He cannot "hang on to the club". After all Guy and co got rid of Sam and he was the major shareholder!

Good to hear that the deal is all above board. The last thing we want now is to sell behind the malaysians backs.

In what way did they 'approve' it? I don't see why they would sit back and watch these assets being sold off, with Feb 10th getting closer and closer. I no longer believe the deal is hinging on Ridsdale leaving or he would be long gone.

I said that to Borley, but he said they want court cases cleared up and no complications, they dont want to come in to headaches.

Well I don't think they sound like they have the potential to run a football club then!
The easy way to avoid any headaches would be to loan the club say £3m as an advance at whatever rate, which could then be converted to equity if they are ready to takeover. Tax billcwould be paid = no court case.
Doesn't all ad up to me with the malaysians. Who would be running the club day to day? If it's Tan that's involved surely we are just another small company to him.

CF11,
I Believe,They wont lend the money while PR is there. That to me means they are sound business men.

If that is the case, why would Borley and PMG who have a lot of money at stake give Ridsdale the vote of confidence, and not accept his alleged offer of resignation.
If the Malaysians will loan the club money if PR was gone, I don't belive they would have rejected his offer of resignation.
We are a few days away from the court case + winding up order date and are scrambling to get the funds together to try and pay it. If the shareholders and boardmembers knew that they could get a loan or cash from the malaysians if PR was out of the equation I'm sure even PR would be happy to stand down, as the bill would get paid and he would still have his shares

I found out after that, that was the problem he never formaly offered it and it would cost the Club anything up to a £1Million to pay him off I believe.

Although I am still not happy with the land deal to PMG as they seem to be getting a bargain, it now looks like a clear the decks scenario.
With the Malaysians playing hardball concerning the price per share they are probably happy for PMG to get the land and therefore ease the drop in price their shares would get.
House of Sport is off the clubs books and there is no requirement to spend money there (apart from rent of the facilities).
Tax issue either fully paid or a payment plan put in place.
Langston on a long term payment scheme
The council deferring they call on 40% of any land sale and accepting it in payments, but not for a few years.
With all these, sort of, worked out, you can see why most of the current cash is going to pay off contractors who fitted out the stadium.
The Malaysians come in with any debt already put on some sort of payment scheme (yet STILL large enough to allow them a cheaper per share price) and all other creditors paid off. A nice clean slate for them and obviously the potential to pay off any of these debts when it suits them.
Are we clutching at straws or is this more likely than administration.

Surely we can’t keep going much longer?
1) We still owe Sam-Langstone millions (has this month’s £83,000 been paid?)
2) We owe £2.7million pounds to the taxman. And the next demand on its way.
3) Allegedly, we owe £7million (?!) to contractors for the stadium fit-out.
The land deal will pay off the taxman this time. But then, inevitably we have to go into administration to get rid of Ridsdale and Guy.
We must lance the boil.
This piddling land deal has only given us a short term fix. How will we pay next months wage bill and the next tax demand?
Let’s face it, the only way out is to go into admin. That way you pay off your debtors and make Cardiff City an attractive option for The Malaysians or whoever else is out there.

Things are tough, but if we go into Administration it would be even more of a short-term fix.
All players and assets worth anything would be sold, possible relegation, bad credit rating, etc. Replacing our top players alone would cost investors in excess of £20m. All of those things would take up to 5 years to recover so unless we got investement on the Man City scale I think we should just pray that we can keep going and attract the investment sooner rather than later.

Crystal Palace have only had to sell Moses so far. Didn't the Swans manage to pay off their debtors with 10p in the pound? And now they've bounced back. I don't see Admin as the end of the world - just the end of this season (10pts deducted) and the loss of some of our better players. This would make us far more attractive to The Malaysians or others.

How can we sell outside the transfer windows?

Yes but the administrator is still in the process of finding a buyer. That buyer will either have to agree to pay a decent price for the club which will then go to the creditors or, the administrator will sell off more assets at the end of the season (i.e. when the transfer window re-opens) and then agree to the sale at a lower price.
What a lot of people forget is that the administrator also has a duty to ensure as many of the debts are satisfied as well as continuity of trading. Believe me, we really don't want administration unless the only other alternative is a winding-up order

A lot of peolple seem to criticise PMG and Paul Guy not realising that although PMG are very successful he along with other directors of PMG are very big fans of the club, I read some comments and many don't realise this.
