If we have to settle for it, then that's fair enough. But maybe they will have to settle for a half full stadium then when people can't be arsed to buy tickets (that doesn't include me, by the way)

I've always been a huge DJ fan, but I'm growing to despise him the more he speaks. Really is an arrogant prick, though much as I have huge concerns as to how he has managed us the last year or so, he is still doing reasonably well imo. Can't wait for him to leave the club, though of course it is far more important somebody else leaves first.

He may well do, but imho he's right we will have to suffer with our best central midfielder (Ledley) unlikely to kick a ball again this season and no money for replacements his central midfield options are crap so expect a few more results like this fella.

he just talks in cliched sound bites

he's doing a reasonable job with the squad numbers - but just does not help himself with the verbal diarrhea he comes out with

Would you like him to leave even if there is no-one to replace him? Either of equal or better ability or maybe even no-one at all? If you think there is someone better, please name names (realistic names, mind). Personally, I didn't like him but can see the good things he's done here, as well as the bad. But, in the current situation, he's doing a superb job and I can think of no realistic candidate to do a better job right now. Ridsdale is the one who should be walking and who your contempt should be aimed at

I agree. Its because of the financial mis-management of our club by PR that we havent been able to bring in any additional players. Recently it was reported - But Jones wants to see some new faces ahead of Monday's transfer deadline.

"Our season depends on what we do this week, whether we get injured players back or bring people in," he said.

"I think everyone is hoping it goes the way that we want it to go.

"I haven't given up hope of signing players as that's what I'm being told. The board know what we want because I've told them enough times.
So how can we slate him when he has requested additional players to improve the squad and help us push on and was told he would get them. He must be as frustrated as us having identified our shortfalls and not being able to plug the gaps! He's spot on in my opinion as we just wont be able to compete without bringing in a couple of quality players on loan to strengthen an already threadbare squad. I dont think we will be able to stay in the play off's without getting players in and will drift towards mid table, but I doubt we will be able to as we havent got two pennies to rub together. Its PR that should take the blame and feel the pain of our frustrations, starting on Tuesday v Peterborough!!

Isn't he on a rolling one year contract? if he is, the end of this season I would think

not saying that Annis - what I'm saying is he talks in soundbites - ie "I don't blame the team" first line, then second or third line "others did not hit the heights we expect".

well if that is the case, then he should blame the team.

he can't have it both ways - as i said he just talks bullshi@ to fill a five min interview that is probably in his job disc. to do.

i think dj has done a good job overall but he does talk some bollox, there is no excuse for that display that was newcastle biggest league win at home since 2002, liecester got a draw against them last week and they played with 10 men for an hour. we didn't have a bad side out last night and we hadn't played midweek so they can't blame tiredness, that pass pure sh*t, the fans that went up yesterday deserved better than that, if they play like that at stamford bridge it will be double figures even if chelsea play their second string players
