AFC Bluebirds - Where Could We Play?

Sun Feb 07, 2010 12:11 am

I know it's not a potential scenario but I see the Pompey trust are preparing for the worst case scenario and preparing AFC Pompey to play in a local league if Portsmouth go under next week.

At least they would get the chance to make their way back up to the English leagues. I am convinced that the English FA would take the opportunity to remove us from their competitions, it would be the Welsh leagues for us.

Newport managed to get into the English league when they reformed.

That said there is no chance of this club going under. Even with the worst case senario where we had to repay £39m worth of debt, there would be enough assets within the club to sell off to do that.

True we would enter administration lose 10 points and see a fire sale of our best players, become tennants to the Blues and probably get relegated next season, but we wouldn't go under.

We would have to move over the road to leckwith stadium £90 for 2hrs haha

or could save money and play over pontcanna and use jumpers for goal posts

Corky we're not as bad as Portsmouth we can pay our electric bills and players wages for the time being, the worst that can happen to us at present is a Crystal Palace and they don't seem as if they're struggling after administration.

We've just got to stay behind our Cardiff and support them to the end, which will hopefully not be any time soon.

Suggestion

Could we not take over Merthyr and get a Cardiff City B team up and running

Plus we would be in the English league system still

I'm sure the English FA would let us in?
