SELF POLICING

Sun Feb 07, 2010 10:25 am

Robbies touched on the subject.

Before we moved to the New stadium, I sat in The Grandstand UPPER Section A for about 8 years (Bob Bank Before), yes we were near the Away Fans, but boy didnt we half make a tremendous noise :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: .
About 450 City Fans Sat in the Upper Block, mostly older heads, We had No Police and just 1 or max 2 stewards if it was a bigger game.

In those 8 years there were 2 incidents, which actually was Cardiff fan v Cardiff but it was sorted amongst our selves.
We had No Arrrests in 8 years and just 2 fans ejected.
All we wanted to do was watch our team, have a bit of a banter with the away fans and make Ninian Park have an atmosphere.

Before we moved to the New Stadium, we met club officials and I wont go naming people again, but it was stated that these days were over and we would never sit with each other again.

We self policed, even the police were not interested in us.
Our Atmosphere use to put off the away players running up and down the line and our players loved it.
The Club has to seriously think about whats happening in the New Stadium, as I know many many fans who didnt buy season tickets for next season as they cant stand it in there.

I hate the new Stadium, it is totally devoid of atmosphere and when you try to create one you're frowned upon.

And what difference does it make, I had to step in and stop a scrap in the Ninian Stand at the Doncaster game??

The mentalist Bee Gee who sits near us was kicking off and picked a fight with an older fella who told him to sit down and watch his language. The Bee Gee went for him and pushed him but before he could throw a punch I slipped in and grabbed him and pulled him away. The stewards just watched me.

It was the atmosphere at Ninian Park that made me fall in love with the club. It worries me that new fans are not getting the same experience now and that will stop them coming back on a regular basis.

Re: SELF POLICING

The new ground has no atmosphere at all.
Partly to blame are a few of the stewards who now think thier storm troopers.
I think Baz's way needs to be implemented. :ayatollah:

The guys pwoper mental, mate. Takes some sort of tablets to keep him regulated. Obviously he doesn't take them on match days. He was well out of order though. My cousin checked on the old guy to see if he was alright and he was, just pissed off and rightly so. I think it was quite lucky I was there because the stewards aren't worth a wank. They only moved in after I had thrown Bee Gee back in his seat.

I totally agree, whenever we tried to start everyone off singing in the Donny game people were looking at us as if we had two heads. It was as if we were were watching a rugby game where it is politically incorrect to make a noise when a kick is being taken.

The answer is dont give a f**k, sing dance swear and if anyone says anything tell em to f**k off, they will soon move elsewhere. I know this is an extreme reaction, but is them winning or us and i will not go again if the boring gits win and to make it worse i know a lot more who are thinking the same.

I heard today that they are thinking of renaming our stadium to The Moon Stadium because there is no atmosphere there either, and you never know Jay Bothroyd maybe able to stay on his feet a bit longer due to the lack of gravity.

they just need to sell season tickets for ninian stand which don`t have a seat or row number on,and you can sit where you want,so all the vocalist can get together, and the sit down fans can do the same.SIMPLES

Are you saying that only the fans who sit down are fans and the vocalist are not? Which camp do you fit?
