A forum for all things Cardiff City

It was typical Cardiif, everybody got steamed up and decided to do their own thing.
I myself walked up to the groundwith two others giving out yards to the Newcastle fans.
Two of us went in their end for the last ten minutes, just to get a different view from that of the heavens we were in for most of the game, and cheered our goal.
Went in the irish bar outside their end for a pint straight after and then walked down to the Bridge bar without even being called a sheepshagger.
Then went out on the lash til late am.
Ok, some may think we got lucky but from what I saw and heard the worst case was a shiner and anybody that got involved in the minor skirmishes stood their ground. I even seen one of the girls steaming right under the head of the horses to defend herself .
Then the inevitable Cardiff v Cardiff which hasn't gone away from the 70s.
I don't think we lost any face but it will serve as a good reminder and preperation for Chelsea next week.
The moral of the story taken from a great pre match speech by Ar
"we're all human beings and they bleed the same as us"
The OB have this one right for a noon kick off but if you go out on the lash after the game in London don't break ranks.

I remember Chelsea from the early 80s, not the sanitised stuff you see now, but the fascist, intimidating place it used to be. I guarantee they'll be looking to get that back for one day at least this weekend. As you say, break ranks at your peril as anyone is fair game for them this weekend

Especially after going to Arsenal twice a lot of the younger lads might think that all of London is just as "pleasant".
