Can't hide from it anymore. Is there a last minute cancellation of our appearance?

Has to be - on CCMB Sludge claims Trust know all, that land sale will pay the bill.

Just a pity that land sale can't be completed till EGM, eh?

So we're relying on goodwill from HMRC. Who we have a recent history of reneging on deals.

HMRC will do everything they can to get all of their money.

Look how many companies are on that list, and it'll be like that every day.

They will play hard, but they will relent as they want every penny and will do what they can to get it. While the company has assets that make payment possible, they will hang fire.

No word from the club yet though. They usually trot out a "HMRC are happy and case will be dismissed" statement.

Maybe.

Or maybe they'll see things going down the pan - selling off of assets to pay previous bills, new bills adding up and decide to cut their losses and prevent future liabilities.

Once this land is sold - what do we sell for the next bill?

The case will still appear on the list whether it is settled today or not. If agreement is reached then it will be formally withdrawn tomorrow, as happened last time. Basically nothing can be withdrawn from the published list without judicial permission.

Nothing untoward with this but we could do without this worry

Nothing untoward, but nothing coming from the club either.

Probably Chopra and Matthews at the end of the season.

Christ, they are chasing Protsmouth for over £7 million!

I agree, I would be amazed if they didn't already know what is going to happen tomorrow so why not tell us either way ? It seems we are being treated like mugs.

The only thing I can think of that would excuse this is that if the lawyers (and HMRC) feel that the agreement should be put before the Court before going public on it. If that is the case then we'll have to wait until tomorrow but it makes things worse than they need to be. Shame some of the money hasn't been spent on public relations

Ruddy hell, will be a nervy day tomorrow if we hear nothing by close of play tonight.

As I read it the club have spent too much on PR.

That why I typed it in full and didn't use the shortened version

Next bill will be due before the transfer window opens.

Without investment we are f***ed.

There will still be assets though and HMRC will be desperate to get every penny.

We should forget about investment and look at how to stabilise this club as per my other topic. Big earners out, eat into the debt.

Yep, bite the bullet and stop trying to play billy big bollox.

See our club for what it is, a medium to small sized club with the potential to flirt with promotion now and again. We are not a Sunderland, Derby, Forest or Leicester. But on the positives, we are easily a Stoke, Blackburn or Burnley.

Stop trying to do it quickly and get it done on a budget with an honest squad willing to play hard for their money.
