CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM???

Mon Sep 26, 2011 8:19 am

I can understand why Malky started with one up top. Good move in
my eyes, have a look at them, stifle their firepower, see how we
get on. Most importantly.. give nothing away.

Conways injury? I think he'd already decided to change shape, cos
he could easily have just put Mason on for him (and it looked at
one stage that he was doing just that)

When we went 4-4-2, the only think I couldnt understand was, why
put Earnshaw on and not Mason or Gestede? But thats just my personal
opinion on Earnie.

Either way, it obviously worked.

The midfield harried and chased and never let up until they got to grips
with Leicesters excellent midfield. Once we did, Whittingham came more
and more into the game and started to run the show (as usual)

Darcy looked VERY good in the middle with Gerrard

Gestede was superb. He could barely walk the poor fucker, but the team spirit
and fight was there for all to see in him.

Special mention for Naylor. Taylor was hardly missed. Well done Lee.

The manager?... packing our midfield is not necessarily a negative move
at home. Why should he play a formation that would suit Sven Gollum?
It wasnt working too well, he changed it, we had a mad spate of injuries.
... YET for long periods of the game Leicester resorted to hoofing the
ball anywhere.

So my only criticism is, Miller and Earnie dont work

Well done City :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Earnie did look good when he came on Chief and IMO we should of had a Pen. And he cleared the ball of the line.

I thought that it was a pen too, until I saw the recording of the match last night!

Probably one of only a handful of important decisions the ref got right though IMO, as I thought he was shite! :ayatollah:

Forgot to mention, top post Taffy and unlike a previous negative poster, 4-5-1 easily converts to a 4-3-3, which is in fact, a very attacking formation!

And for the first 25-30 minutes of the 2nd half, we p!ssed all over the biggest spenders in the league this season and had Gestede not got injured, we could well have gone on to win the match, instead of having to defend a 0-0, with a patched up side! :ayatollah:

No pen, no way, he was just muscled out of it. He did clear off the line though
i'll give him that. Cant think of anything else he did personally.
