Cardiff to Newcastle not a long journey

Tue Feb 09, 2010 5:00 pm

Set off for Geordie land friday morning, daughter in back of car loaded down with books iplayer etc, warned her it was a really long journey. Prepared for the inevitable are we nearly there yet, how far, i'm so bored. She fell asleep before we even got to the motorway, woke up when we saw the first sign for The North. Looked at us with the look only a 13 year old can and said honestly the fuss you make about a little away trip, its not far at all.

we got there in about 5 hours in my saxo!

Got onto the M4 by 8 and arrived and the hotel at 1:10 (including a 20 minute stop at Nottingham services, and getting petrol on the A1)

Not a bad journey at all :ayatollah:
