I don't bet on the orses though so luckily I'm not skint. Being paid in Euro's and not having to pay tax does help a bit though. As long as I keep away from Sky Poker when half pissed I'll be able to hang to most of it......

I used to bet on the horses-never big stakes (5 quid per weekend on accumulators). About 3 years ago i did an each way lucky 31 (10p per line=6.20). 4 of the nags one and the other came 3rd. I walked out of the bookies over 520 better off. Havent done a horse again expect for the national.

I have many tales of bad luck on horses, not loosing but not winning!!

When I were knee high to grasshopper one of my great uncles used to collect my granddads 10p each way saturday bet to take to bookies. One saturady I decided I was going to do this betting lark having study the ITV seven for several weeks, so handed over my 10p with a selection of seven horses picked after great thought and studying of form then picked the ones with black dots by them from the Daily Mirror, when it was a newspaper. After six of said horses won, the other fell over on the flat! I eagerly masturbated over a copy of page three of the Sun thinking of the vast quantites of money that would comming my way
Imagine my surprise when said great uncle appeared with no money for the wombat. Apparantley, you had to have all the horse winning to win something around £20k mark, I've never checked that out as it happens and he's dead now.

When I first moved to London, I worked part time with Will Hill, as the new guy I used to take our bets to the other shop as they didn't know me. Did a yankie one week, won a couple of hunded quid but took a horse out at the last minute when I found out Princees Ann was riding it! Twating thing came in at 10/1

Probably the worst bet I ever made...........

I was trying to close a Sky betting acount but it had 7 or 9p left so wouldn't let take money out or close account as there was still "money" left. I put the whole lot on an accumulator, 15 teams I think from memory, was the limit anyway, just to get rid of the odd few pence. The f*cking thing only came in didn't it! Got just £90 odd quid back!

That my betting luck screwed for next two thousand years
