Yeah it was alittery who got arrested (My mate nearly got arrested for asking a copper how to get to the ground ) Then as i understand everyone got deprted without there belongins or passports

I went over on the supporters club coach along with my best mate Beefy who was in his wheelchair. After the game because we were in the disabled section we came out of a different exit to the rest of our fans.
We tried to get around to the coaches but it was chaos and many roads blocked.

In the end we came to a 5 ft fence separating us from the coaches and in desperation I had to lift Beefy firstly and then his wheelchair over this fence simply to get on our bus, I was a bit fitter and stronger them days, if it happened now, the fecker will still be in Leige.

Great trip and love a few more like it.

Bumped because we've been dreaming of Europe again.

I dont k.ow if anyone remembers the police using water cannon over there.i think we went 2-1 up before losing 5-2..i think bird scored twice for us. I recall leige being a dreary city,full of grey buildings and very expensive.some great chants i remember from the game." Where were you in world war 2 ? " and all cardiff fans with both arms in the air singing (surrender mode) "do the belgian soldier,do the belgian soldier".
Great fun.

Brilliant trip and one of my scariest moments following city.

Me and 3 mates got collared by the police on the way to the stadium
We drew quite a bit of attention from the Liege fans as we were lead through them on the way to the cells within the ground.

Then for some reason when we got right to the gate to go into the stadium they marched my 3 mates straight into the cells and let me go. Not a word was said, the copper just let go of me.

Chuffed to bits I turned around thinking how lucky I was, and then I saw what was in front of me, a wall of Liege fans all looking at a lone City fan. We sort of stood there frozen for a few seconds (that seemed like hours) before they started coming forward towards me.

I'm not ashamed to say that I ran like f**k, jumped a few parked cars, small fences and a hedge, but managed to get close enough to the away end for the Liege fans to lose interest.

I've never seen so many seriously pissed city fans in one place at the same time. The away end was a mess with people falling over and sleeping on the terraces.

is it any wonder liege fans gave up near the away end
the amount of headers and loons we had that day dont think many would have tangled with us

and to think we were in the third tier at the time. arsenal played them later that season and got kicked to f**k

I'll never forget Standard Liege home can anyone remember the Standard Liege fan running across the pitch and going into the Bob bank only to be thrown out, Standard Liege where in good voice too they had two blocks of the grandstand.
