The most common (and understandable) question on the message boards in recent days seems to be what happened to the £3 million raised by season ticket sales if the club has to sell land in order to pay a £2.7 million tax debt?
My question is this: has there ever been any sort of official confirmation from the club, either on its website or in terms of direct quotes from the Chairman or the manager, that 10,000 season tickets were sold and that £3 million was raised by those sales?
I believe the local media reported these figures, but does anyone know if they were ever actually confirmed by the club?

I asked the same question in a previous post, but had no response. If there were 10k season tickets sold raising £3m, Where is the money gone??? We need clarity.

Off the top of my head TLG I think I recall a comment from DJ saying something along the lines of "..if it gives us an extra 2 or 3 million..." I don't think it was ever confirmed, and as many of the packages were taken on financed pay up packages, then it would be naive to think that anywhere near that sum would have come in. More so when many people commented on not sending back forms etc.

I posted this in Jan
"How many Zebra Finance Forms Not yet returned , I would say a fair few thousand. Which would obviously mean the club has not received anywhere near the £3million".

I'm assuming all this will come out in the EGM ?

If someone is prepared to ask!

This question occurred to me earlier today as I was drawing up a list of questions to ask at the General Meeting.
Personally, I'm not so sure there ever was £3 million. I've a feeling that figure might be a local press invention.

TLG - what are your expectations and predictions for the forthcoming EGM? just like to hear your thoughts on PR and what you think may come from the meeting?
thanks.

I can't remember whether or not the club ever mentioned anything, but it wouldn't be in their best interests for people to think they've sold 10k when it's actually only 6k or whatever the figure may be.
The reason plenty of fans are pretty annoyed with the whole situation is that £3m that was meant for players has seemingly dissapeared. If the figure was only half of that surely Ridsdale would want people knowing that?

I'm anticipating that this meeting will be a lively affair. I reckon the board and, of course, the Chairman in particular will get a far rougher ride than they had at either of the previous General Meetings I've attended.
To be honest, I have no clear expectations as to what will happen as a result of this meeting, but it will certainly give the shareholders and the Trust representatives an opportunity to ask proper questions of the board. This won't be one of the Chairman's public spin exercises where he can make things up as he goes along - the likes of Alan Flitcroft, Keith Harris and Alan Whiteley are likely to be asked some searching questions.

The thing is that Ridsdale has been keeping a low profile since the shit hit the fan. Of course, there was his one-man press conference last week (or was it the week before), but I'm not sure if any of the journalists present thought to ask how much had actually been raised by season ticket sales.

Julian Jenkins confirmed it to me 10,450 odd, he is the ticket office manager.

here is DJ stating that we had sold over 9000 season tickets :
http://www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/page/New ... 06,00.htmlThere was also an announcement by the club on the club website dated 31/12/09 at 4.00pm called ' JOIN THE RECORD BREAKERS ' and in the announcement the club said they were extending the season ticket offer through to Jan 6th for what they called a 'mop up' period and that we had smashed the 10000 barrier already.
below is a link to the thread I created that day in response to that statement and inside that thread is a link to the announcement but it has since been removed.
