SORRY BUT DJ IS GETTING IT WRONG

Sun Feb 14, 2010 9:13 am

At Newcastle away, J was suppose to be Captain, Chops asks and J is demoted. I am not a J fan as I believe he could be Class, but is Lazy, childish and a bit of a pansy. But he is either captain or he is not make your mind up DJ. J didnt want to play v Peterborough or Chelsea and continues to ask DJ to take him off.

In my Opinion J is not a leader and should not be captain, but DJ cant make his mind up. J needs a 2 week rest, as I am told he is tired and injured.

jay was class first half but he was playing with an injury and had injections in his ankle, he does need a rest but he ant going to get it on tuesday, thats the trouble with DJ he asked for a bigger squad but he does not rotate, jay needs to have a rest or he could be out longer....but that would then mean changing our style of play if we dont play jay....I think DJ does not no how too...

Totally agree - he is not a leader. If he was my captain and I had to follow his lead i'd spend most my time walking around the pitch or on the floor!

I agree Jay needs a rest, fair play to him he has played week in week out. The thing is we only play 1 way. and when he is not playing we are terrible at times. Yes WBA was good though.

Give Jay as rest on Tuesday and give Feeney a chance. Or play 3 upfront with Burke Chops and Ross. :ayatollah:

I am not saying this because he is my mate, but Feeney Now Deserves a run of games, whats the point of keeping him other wise ?

Darko, J could be Class, but I do get fed up of seeing him on the floor.

I'm with you on that Baz. Midfielder or centre back should always be captain in my opinion. Jay looked a different class to some of our players yesterday but that doesn't make him a leader and some players lose a bit of their cutting edge with the extra responsibility of the captaincy

In yesterdays team - it would have had to have been Chops, Gerrard or Marshall for me. Dont think any of the others are loud speakers on the pitch like Roger was..... even Hudson's too quiet for my liking. Wish Ledley was back! we have a good team results record when he's captain - and even he's fairly submissive on the pitch too.... (but stats speak for themselves!)

That's a very good point which often gets overlooked.

DJ has been given options in the January window in the past like Qunicy, Redan and even Burke last year but has failed to make proper use of them.

I fully agree handing DJ a bigger squad wouldn't make a blind bit of difference as he would continue to pick his favourities no matter how many options he had.

Are you kidding, I'm better than Redan!!

But otherwise, I'm agreeing as well. DJ works better without money imo!

talkin of favs does anyone else think that Kennedy is in the side on merit coz I dont ? He's too slow and gets exposed in defence and when he goes forward he always runs then stops puts his foot on the ball then turns around and passes the ball backwards !

Kennedy is a solid enough defender at this level.
Look at our alternatives, Quinn and matthews.
Matthews has to be used sparingly and Quinn, do you really think he is better than Kennedy because I don't.
Mind you why he got rid of Chris Barker, I will never know as he has never been adequately replaced.

WE need a leader on the pitch and in the dressing room.
