WHY THEY NEVER KEPT CARDIFF FANS IN

Sun Feb 14, 2010 12:21 pm

At the end of the game Yesterday,

A couple of years ago, they kept Man City fans in at Chelsea.
A Man City fan had a phone call at the end of the game saying his Wife was about to drop, come quick, the police wouldnt and kept ManCity Fans in for 40 Minutes, he missed the Birth of his Child.
He Sued Chelsea and got Thousands.
Since then, they have never kept anyone in.

Do they keep fans in at any grounds now? I always thought that they've stopped doing it because of the less hostile atmosphere between most sets of fans that at most places it passes off quite peacefully and there is rarely any scrapping on the sacale of yesterday these days

We still kept in at a few grounds, like Millwall, Leeds away.

I think they underestimated the 'new Chelsea' and us though by the looks of things

Sounds like an urban myth tbh - a) would have to be an incredibly quick labour to have missed with a 40m delay and b) fans would be kept behind based upon advice from the safety advisory group, not the club.

A Chelsea lad told me they only keep fans in, in the champions league. (foreigners)

They were just milling around but not really doing anything. They tried to split the road when scuffles broke out but it was still a mix of both sets of fans on either side, was difficult to make out who was who to be honest, plenty of casuals and blue and white
