O/T ANYONE KNOW HOW TO USE AN R4 CARD FOR DS LITE

My 12 yo is doing my head in, bought a R4 card to download games, but need advice if anyone can help. Cheers

gO on a site called ds rom, put the ds card into the USB after you have downloaded the games you want drag and drop into the r4. Take the little sim card out of the USB adaptor place into the cartrage that came with the r4, place into ds and away you go. Also if my instructions are complicated go on YouTube and there are plenty of videos to watch. P.s. Smashing tool saves you hundreds of pounds and you can also put films, music and photos on then. Enjoy

gwyn, go to r4i.co.uk, it sells the cards but it also give you the software you need to put on the memory card, i think it also has a video for you to follow, hope this helps

Got all the games off here, straight forward to use.

I have also done a few cards, But recently bought 2 cards and i was sent the "SPECIAL EDITION" Xmas 1s i cant for the life of me get them to work, i have even downloaded the correct software for it, will be sending them back me thinks

i will presume you have the card seeing as you state that in your post.
when the card was delivered it would have had a disc with it that would have had 5 files (DS_MENU.DAT, R4III.DAT, (or R4II.DAT) DS MSHL.NDS, system folder, moonshl folder)
you need to put onto the memory card (you do have a memory card?) using the microcard usb adapter also depending on which model of R4 (V.2-V.3) you have will depend on what size card you can use.
again depending on how long the card in its packaging has been on the shelf before delivery to you will depend on how old the firmware is, is its advisable to keep a link to the website you bought it from as firmware will vary from R4 suppliers some come with the website stated on paperwork most dont.

thats the card ready now you have to get the games
games vary from 8mg up in size an 8mg will be 1 rar file bigger ones will have 8-10 rar files you will need to extract them once done they are normally named as the download file and not the game name so the best thing to dois re-name them as the game remembering to put (.ds) at the end of the file name otherwise the ds wont recongnise them once this has been done you copy then to the memory card and your running
