if you spend an hour with anyone living or dead who would it be and why.

mine would be marilyn monroe and i would ask what happened in the last few hours of her life...see if those kennedys had anythin to do with it.

Sounds alot like my upbringing.

My Grandparents on my Mams side are alive and kicking thankfully.
I look to my Grandfather being my Guardian Angel (so to speak), he pretty much guides me to where i want to go.
He guided me to a career in the military (still hunting that dream) and also boxing.

My Dad got me into football, but i hardly ever saw him when i was growing up and he only wanted to know me when i turned 18 which was a few years ago now.

Mate i seen him take his last breath as my mother held him in her arms, it was a sunday il never forget that day until i die ive never felt so useless. Ive only visited his grave 3 times since he died in 2000 everytime ive visited it cuts me to pieces so i just try to remember the best of times we had even thinking about it now is starting to get to me a little. :(

He also fought in the war and was involved in d-day landings and the allied push through europe and liberating a jewish concentration camp in poland it wasnt auwstwich but another. My nan is still alive and 92!! she was a cook for the RAF during the war based at reading, she used to tell me about the lancaster pilots all eating and chatting before there sortee then many wouldnt return.

My grandfather however didnt like talking about the war being older and wiser i now understand, the whole reliving was just as harrowing as the events that took place.

The nice story is they met before the war then met back up after national service then got married they had been married 53 yrs when he passed.

R.I.P Earnie Peters. .............Forever in our hearts.
