Pompey have asked the Premier League if they can sell players outside of the transfer window.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal ... 522283.stmOnly thing is, who are they going to sell them to? No-one can sign players so I doubt anyone
would buy a player put him on gardening leave until August...

But on another level doesn't show how stupid the transfer window is? If Pompey have an asset (a player) that they can sell to save themselves from liquidation, then why can't they do that anytime they need to?
I have never been a fan of the transfer window and find it quite pointless TBH.

Yeah, in a time when football clubs need more restricted spending the transfer window is quite irresponsible because it encourages panic buying and bad money management.
