What does DJ know that we don't?

Fri Feb 19, 2010 4:53 pm

Heads, Sheds, Dummies, Cogs and Diamonds

Is it just me or have other posters noticed that our Manager has been somewhat chipper in recent press conferences? For a gent who has struck me as being tetchy, at best, in his dealings with the media and ready to put down a hack with a caustic or sarcastic remark even smiles have started to break out over his craggy face.

First, some 6 weeks ago, DJ started giving fullsome praise to the City faithfully, being the twelfth player on the pitch. Next came the wonderful togetherness of the players and finally we hear gushing praise directed to the squad, who despite injury and illness, have played through the pain barrier week in and week out.

From terse, prickly answers, now it appears he can't stop eulogising when answering questions. So what has caused this vital transformation?

I just think he's happier because people are now slating Ridsdale and leaving the manager and players alone. In all truth Ridsdale is actually helping us by becoming the focal point. Our form since Ridsdale got put in the firing line has been fairly decent.

Sorry mate, can't agree with you, heard him on Talk Sport before the chelsea game and he was as gloomy as feck, as per usual.

He knows he is longer under pressure, if we make the playoffs he will say he has perfomed a miracle, if we don't its down to the lack of investment for new players.
But what he forgets is it was him that chose to run with a small squad and have "big earners" as opposed to a bigger squad just ikes the jerks with less payed but equally as better players.

More importantly i and others wont forget if he had addressed the centre of midfield in the summer we would have been even a lot stronger now.
