If Peter Ridsdale resigns tomorrow...

Sun Feb 21, 2010 12:57 am

How are we in a better position?

This isn't anything to do with whether I want him to go or not, as I think he has done an awful job and want him to go - but don't see how we'd be in a much better state without him. He's not the only person who's to blame for the mess we're in, but he's a pretty handy scapegoat for the others!
OK he's the one that has come out and lied about various things, which is reason enough for him to go. But without him we are still going to have the same board of directors and the same finance director that have overseen and allowed the current situation to happen.

I agree hes not solely to blame for the mess but..............

We would be in a better position without him because we wouldnt have that fuckin parasite sucking money out of our club for personal gains.

Why cant people see this - its so bloody obvious!!!!!!!!

Please wake up for the sake of CCFC

I'll do it for £55,000 PA.

I won't lie to our stakeholders.
Tax will be set aside from all payments/income and will get paid when it should be
Players will be offered contracts within our means.
I don't need a company car, happy to travel in economy, and Travelodge will do me fine.
The premier club will be opened up to all as the Grandstand Upper Tier.
The canton stand will become the new family stand.
I'll serve notice on The Blues and they will be evicted.
I'll give Jones notice of termination of his contract.

:ayatollah:

Anyone fancy League Two? Get me on the payroll

Ok, there's the things such as expenses and wages which is fair enough. But I would imagine most chairmen would want a decent wage and expenses ( obviously not at Ridsdale's level though )

Thing is, all those things you mention above are great - but will not help towards the problems we have now.
Also, the majority of decisions that have been made must have been sanctioned by the board, even without Ridsdale it's only the frontman that's gone. The rest of the culprits will still be there.

Bump

I am not disagreeing with the protests, and do support them as we desperately need a change.
What difference it would make just losing Ridders I don't know

One, We will Reduce Our Wage bill by about a £Million plus exspeces,Two He doesnt know how to run a Business, Three Borley would run it for 6 Weeks till the malaysians took Total Control.

Also it would force Guy to run it for at least 6 weeks as he would want to protect his own money.

When there's a problem, you can treat the symptoms or get rid of the core problem.

Ridsdale is the core problem here, and so getting rid of him is the first step to improving things. Treating the symptoms (which is what we're doing at the moment) isn't helping. It just means we have less and less assets - and more and more debt - as time goes on.

I agree that things won't improve overnight, although people seem to be thinking that the Riddler is the only person capable of being chairman of a company (hint: he's not)

We *are* still screwed, but leaving the Riddler here isn't helping.

Correct Tristan leaving on board is killing Our Club.

ok, but his monthly wage won't make a huge difference when you look at some of the fringe players we have on huge money too.

Why have the current board backed him and allowed him to run the club as it is for the last couple of years?

Would he be able to run this club for 6 weeks? Surely he has other priorities too, but anyway it won't change a huge amount as it will still be the same board of directors in charge!

Hopefully the malaysians come on board, but what if they don't?
Weve had loads of different stories and promises from them having taken a 25% stake, paid the tax bill, taking over as soon as ridders goes, £6m to spend etc
what's to say that they dont change their mind?

They have put £200,000 and £300,000 in so far.

he must be the main culprit as chairman of the club, but why others arent blaming the board amazes me!

Do people think that our board have no say in any decisions, didn't know the extent of our financial difficulties long before we did? I would say their quite happy at the moment letting ridsdale get all the flak for the mess they've all caused.

Dong forget, the board all gave their support to Ridsdale last month - including Borley

I would be surprised if they have put any money in, the board drip feed lies to mislead us

Yeah I do agree. They are all as bad as each-other, including Borley.

I do think that the Riddler is the main problem here, although the board are to blame too for letting him ruin this club.

Obviously Ridsdale leaving is pretty important, but realistically it won't make a huge difference straight away

Hopefully you're right!

But at the moment nobody can answer what getting Ridsdale would do with regards to sorting our club out?

Our only option is new investment. Unless there is a realistic chance of the malaysians taking over (we'll have to wait and see) getting rid of our chairman won't really be an answer to the problems
