How times change

My dad who introduced me to the city over 30 years ago popped down to see me today. We were having a chat about the city and in particular that tw*t ridsdale. We were talking about wages and how todays footballers are overpaid and all they need is to play for 15 years and they are set up for life.

Dad was a massive fan in late 60s and early 70s. He missed one game in 70/71 season-real madrid as mum went into labour with my brother (my brother doesnt even support CCFC!). He knew a couple of the players in that time and said how down to earth they were. He got on well with Charlie Rutter (Cardiff Market Pet Stall) and even supplied him with budgies in the that time.

Dad hasnt been to see CCFC for 5 or 6 years-he has lost interest due to the greed of the moden footballer. I am getting inclined to follow him. I loved watching CCFC in the past when the players had passion and desire (e.g Perry and Dwyer). Now the players are over paid gutless twats who have little affinity to the man in the street who pays their wages.

I shall be at the boro game in 2 weeks to protest. Whether i continue to waste hard earned cash to support PMG/PR i very much doubt.
