NO WHERE TO HIDE

Mon Feb 22, 2010 9:28 am

Personally I cant wait for the EGM on Wednesday 10am.
As Borley, Guy, Whitley,Harris and the Riddler will be all there.
We will be able to finally see, who really is backing who and are ANY OF THEM ON THE Club and Fans Side.
There will prob be about 200 Fans there.

I believe Borley will come through for us, I hope I am proved right for the Sake of Our Club.

likely outcome is the board already have this sewn up and only items they wish to discuss will be discussed and nothing else.

By "come through", what do you mean? As TLG stated in his blog, Borley owns les than 8% of the club, he's owed loads & is trying to futher bail them out by building and running the house of sport, but what is some one who less than 8% of the club shares (and less than the person you want him to oust) expected to do?

Does anyone else have a suspicious feeling that no answers and only more questions will arise from this EGM?

Someone is bound to ask if each individual member of the board or major shareholder backs Ridsdale as Chairman.

Borley must decline to back the Chairman.

Also Borley's 8% would be more than enough to force a second EGM so we can have an agenda to scruitinise the financial situation against official documentation followed by a no confidence vote in the Chairman.

If he does that then Borley would have 'come through'

The question is, if you need 5% of shareholders to request an EGM before one is held,If he feels so strongly, why hasn't Steve requested an EGM before now? Surely that would be a bigger vote of no confidence, rather than waiting until the club is even closer to the brink?

That's quite an easy one to answer.

The club has a number of liabilities apart from the tax which HAVE to be paid. One is the House of Sport which will cost £3m to build. If the club didn't build the facility by December this year it would be in breach of the original agreement with the City Council which gifted the stadium/retail park land to the club in 2007. The club I believe risked losing ownership of the stadium and the hotel/HoS plots if they didn't get the project under way within the next couple of months.

The solution is for Borley to now buy and build the HoS and Guy will buy the hotel land and pay the tax bill. In one swoop the club rids itself of £4.6m of debt.

However, before any of this can be completed the club had to call an EGM to ratify the proposal of selling land to major shareholders. So Borley probably has had to bite the bullet for now because calling an EGM to remove the Chairman before this would have been too time consuming considering the HMRC winding up orders and the urgency with regard to starting the HoS project.

i would think that they would know there is a massive demo planned, i wonder what they will think about that, more bad publicity
