Do you think that DJ

Mon Feb 22, 2010 9:20 pm

is picking the best 11 available to him at the moment ?

For me Kennedy should not be in the 11.

Also on current form Rae should not be there either.

Darcy Blake and Warren Feeney should be given a run.

Marshall

Matthews Gypese Gerrard McNaughton

Burke Blake McCormack Whittingham

Bothroyd Feeney

How does that look to you Annis ?

Rae should never be in our XI. Why can't Jonesy see how woeful he is?!

Rae has had 3 seasons to prove himself and is shocking week after week, Darcy and Taiwo are never afforded the luxury of 4/5 games.

Kennedy's legs have gone unfortunately, shame cos a few years back he was a good player. Not a Capaldi fan but at least hes in his prime so in our situation he shouldn't be over looked.

Do feel the last few games we have been playing with 9 men with these two in the side.

IMO chops has been off the boil recently and should be dropped. Give Ross or Feeney a go

Give Feeney a run of 3 games, then please everyone comment.

I'll go by what the coaching staff see on a daily basis.

The Club might be shagged but I'll back DJ given the league position we are in.

Its not about that, its about who's his favourite is or doesnt speak out.
See where we are come May.

Matthews looked very good on Saturday, I'd bring him in for Kennedy no doubt.

Central midfield is a problem, I'd play Whitts there defo, but who with him, Rae, Wildig or Blake, I honestly havent got much faith in any of these right now. to play with Whitts we need an experienced CM player, rae is the only one in that bracket, but he's really struggling right now.

Play McCormack on the wing for a few weeks, he needs more game time, there have been glimpses of his class, but its just not come off.

Couldn't the same be said about Sam, PR, MB's, in fact all professions and walks of life?

Have you favourite members of staff?

He's an experienced manager........ he sees players daily and knows what makes them tick.

He knows in his opinion who'll deliver over a season.

We all operate that way.

In my opinion he's been our best manager for over 40 years.....we can't ignore the fact.

I detest the way the Club has been run.....but im not prepared to throw DJ to the lions yet.

As for next may yeah we'll see what happens....it's 3 months away.

Fair points,

Look at the most succesful managers though. Would Fergerson at Man U take his players "relaxing" during a game? Benitez, the Chelsea manager whose name escapes me? No they're up on the line barking orders to the players! Aye DJ has done well with his limited resources and does have a team that on occassions are championship beaters but there is no bite in the team, seemingly no desire to win. That is down to the manager, the boss, the governor, I hate writng this but it's down to motivation, its hard enough to motivate someone in a low paid mudane job but to motivate a football player on xx'00's per week must be nye on impossible. A bit of Frankie Burrows whack um round the head kick um up the arse style is called for , either that or a weekend with Mrs Harry Ramsgate dressed in her "swansea thong", stockings, basque and having been kept away from big Baz and little Ben for a month!

He has stuck with his playersw because he had to.

He has praised rhem

This is sport.......some games will be shite.

As for Feeney....... and I dont wish to rock the boat.....

Don't you think Feeney has been a bit naive?

He;s good mates with a guy who is DJ's biggest critics?

I know most are pissed off with the club but it's becoming a vendetta....... spin can work both ways.

Yes I am a critic of DJ's, but I still believe you cant judge Feeney if you havent seen him have a run.

I would say our starting line up should be...

Marshall
Matthews
McNaughton
Gyepes
Gerrard
Burke
McCormack
Whittingham
Taiwo
Chopra
Bothroyd

I would say Gyepes is swappable for Hudson. Hudson isn't everyone's biggest star but for me he's only improved as the season's progressed. Taiwo is also swappable with Blake. Whilst Chopra is swappable with Feeney.

Yes, swappable is now a word! :D

I just think Dave Jones is too afraid to take risks. Like Saturday. 2-0, nothing happening for us, what does he do? Keeps things the same. I would brought Rae off, chucked Feeney on and dragged Bothroyd deeper to play on to Feeney and Chopra, nothing to lose. Did that happen? No.
