Have a look at the Bluebirds down under site, loads of city lads out there, and they could give you loads of advice.

I'd hate to leave Wales. Just the regular stuff of watching Cardiff, going out on St David's Day and playing football with my 11 a side team plus leaving all the family behind. I'd find it too lonely out there.

I'm with you on this one. Could NEVER give up the stuff that makes me. I also could never go on holiday at Christmas, need my tradition.
The country may be going to the dogs but just like we fight for our club I wouldn't walk out on my country. Not that people just go for that reason. Each to his own.

Yeah, the only place I could go on holiday to is somewhere snowy and even then it would only be if my family came with me!
Let's just stay where we are Wayne, it's safe and nice here!

RHOOSTER,
MY 19 YEAR OLD SON IS OUT THERE NOW HAS BEEN FOR ALMOST A YEAR ON A WORKING VISA, HE IS DUE BACK IN APRIL. I HAVE BEEN OUT THERE MANY TIMES. IT IS AN AMAZING COUNTRY WITH FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITIES FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE PREPARED TO GO THERE AND SUBMERGE THEMSELVES IN THEIR CULTURE AND WAY OF LIVING. THEY WELCOME YOU WITH OPEN ARMS AS LONG AS YOU ARE NOT GOING THERE TO TRY AND CHANGE THE WAY THEY LIVE.
SUMMERS THERE ARE EXTREMELY HOT, 42 DEGREES IN DECEMBER /JAN THIS YEAR WHEN I WAS THERE. BUT THERE ARE SO MANY DIFFERENT THINGS TO DO AND SEE, THE OCEAN ,NATURALLY IS MINDBLOWING.
ALSO BARE IN MIND THEY HAVE MANY POISONOUS SPIDERS AND SNAKES THAT CAN KILL WITH ONE BITE ,SO THERE ARE DOWNSIDES.
I HAVE SERIOUSLY CONSIDERED MOVING OUT THERE ,BUT HAVE DECIDED THAT MY BEST OPTION IS TOTRY AND BUY A HOME THERE AND HOPING TO SPEND 3 MONTHS THERE, AND THE REST OF THE TIME HERE.
SOME OF THE HOUSES ARE BREATH TAKING AND HAVE POOLS FOR AROUND $500000 AUS DOLLARS EXCHANGE RATE AROUND
£1=ausd 1.71.
ITS A MASSIVE STEP BUT i CAN RECCOMEND PERTH AS A GREAT CITY ,ESPECIALLY TO THE NORTH ,PLACES LIKE JUNDALOOP OR OCEAN REEF OR MINARIE KEYS.
PERTH HAS A VERY HIGH POPULATION OF BRITS AND SOUTH AFRICANS , SO IT WOULD BE EASY TO MAKE FRIENDS FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.
I HOPE THIS MAY HELP,
ALL THE BEST,
STEVE

I ran the website for them for a couple of years, top blokes!
Capt Rich is an absolute star, and excuse the expression really pushes the 'CCFC cause down under', met up with them in Sydney along with Adrian Alston back in 2005 or so!

If you're going to do it you better be a bit sharp as they are shortly about to change the criteria for immigration. More points, much more for anything remotely related to mining, open cast style so any construction type skills will be favourable. The days of hairdressers, waiters, etc will be gone not only that but when the new laws come they will be retrospective so any of certain "trades" already in the system will be rejected with money refunded, they have set aside sufficient funds to do this.

Rhooster.
Departed Merthyr at the age of 6 and just turned 30 last month, so I've been down under for a while and consider myself half Aussie half Welsh but 100% Cardiff City.
I've been back to Wales a few times and i'm heading back with the lady friend for a couple of months to see family, friends and some City in September.
I'm based in Melbourne and from a biased view is by far the best city in Australia closely followed by Perth.
Syndey is great for a weekend but a rat race during the week but a must see. Lot's of Cardiff live in Sydney and are a top bunch of boy's.
Brisbane is tourist central.
Darwin, Cairns and Broome (Northern W.A) are like big country towns but worth a look if you like the heat and crocs.
Stay clear of Adelaide.
Take a punt mate you only live once.
Good luck.
