Marching

Tue Feb 23, 2010 9:29 pm

I make this post simply as Corky, a fan who has supported Cardiff City all my life and not as the chairman of CCST.

I think people have the right to show their dis-satisfaction with the way the football club appears to have been used by shrewd businessmen to develop a plot of land gifted by the City council and make huge profits.

The only downside for them was having to build a football stadium but they even made a killing on that...Yes we have a stadium now...but we owe a huge debt to Langston’s, a huge debt to PMG...loads of smaller debts...no income streams from land around the stadium or season tickets for next season...our major shareholders have almost taken every asset we have...we need at least £6 million to reach July and then our shrew businessmen will be able to sell our last remaining asset...THE PLAYERS.

I will be interested to see what the EGM discovered and will fight for another EGM if Tomorrow is confined to a rigid agenda...

I also believe that our fans have been very patient and there is a real sense of despair and anger around. We want to show that at the Boro match by marching to the stadium, I will also be there making the walk to support the fans and I encourage others to also join in, I say this as a fan and not as an elected member of the CCST...it is my choice alone to march.

My reasons may differ from others for the march, my reason will be to try to get the businessmen (major shareholders) to realise that they have a moral responsibility to the fans and the football club to try to find investors to take over the football club...

THE PEOPLE THERE NOW, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF STEVE BORLEY, HAVE TAKEN THE CREAM OFF THE TOP AND COULD ALL WALK AWAY NOW WITH A HANDSOME PROFIT...WHERE DOES THAT LEAVE THE FOOTBALL CLUB THEN???

Any new investor will find a nice new stadium that still needs a lot of work done fitting out concourses etc, repairing the turf etc...a squad of players that could be depleted in a fire sale in July, 10,400 season ticket holders money already spent, our catering money all going to Compass....HOW DOES RIDSDALE THINK THAT IS A CLUB RIPE FOR INVESTMENT?

Let me get this right........

Steve Borley is owed a million right? (ok maybe half....i dunno)

Practically all of our assets have been sold to cover salaries , bonuses etc

With Steve Borley as a Director he's watched all of this and said nothing?

If all the directors walk away and it looks inceasingly likely that no investor will step forward ...what next?

TBH, this is why I joined the Trust...... OK Im pissed off now.

It's like they have stuck their mortgage on a 66/1 winner at Aintree and I've just seen it fall at the first fence.
