OPINION - PMG and Steve Borley

Wed Feb 24, 2010 3:10 pm

From what I have read and have been told from certain people, I do not believe the board have gone against the fans, I do not believe things will go tits up, I beleve the board had to back the chairman, if they did not back him what would happen??? Who would take control? None of them have got the time? PG has invested over 10m borley (millions also) they will not get anywhere near the amount they put in whatever happens. If there was a vote of no confidence and the chairman resigns then what would that look like to potential investors? Its already bad so why make it worse! Although things could have been delt with in a better way with telling things how they are, I do belive the club and fans best interests are at heart! I do not think it is time to slag off the board!

Look at the winding up petitions, with its alleged another writ issued against the club yesterday, being serious how can you say things will not go tits up, future income streams spent on last years tax bill, suppliers unpaid. Are people really this narrow minded that all is fine at CCFC.

As they say all opinions are respected even when they are completley wrong...

It is time to slag off the board because of the situation we are in.

Have a look at all the debt. Apart from the tax most of it is debt that is owed TO THE DIRECTORS. I include SH in this as well.

Businessmen try and take ALL the risk out of their investments nowadays. No one is putting money into the club and trying to run it as a business in order to make a profit in the future.

They are trying to get the best of both worlds. Stick the money in as a loan, gain interest on said loan and if we are successful sell up at a profit. If we are not successful it doesn't matter as the club owe us our loaned money.

If we go into admin how would they get all their loaned money back? I don't think it's as simple as that.

I can't imagine anyone putting money into a football club knowing that they can just get the money back again.

I agree but I do believe the intention of these people is in the best iterest of our club, I understand future income streams have been used (as with 95% of English clubs) but I do honestly believe there is a real chance of Investors purchasing the club and taking us forward. If this was not the case then the board are making it worse for themselves as certain members will put more money in and less chance of having it back! I am not narrow minded and am as pissed off as the next person but there is more to this than is being said.

Yes PG has loaned/invested 10 million in the club but he is also charging a hefty 9% interest on it  & he has contracts in place so that any money from certain player sales he has first claim on ! He has not done the club any favours.
