The Club's aims?

Wed Feb 24, 2010 3:35 pm

What is exactly the club aiming for in both the medium term and the longer term? I'm baffled.
The problem is who in there right mind would invest in this club with those lot of liers running the show? Would you? Even if I had money to throw away I wouldn't give it to them and I don't think anyone else would either.

It's not just the 40 odd million you would have to take on but also the actual day to day commitments the club has due to the way Bungle and Droopy etc have run things up to now. The club simply isn't a going concern at the momet and no matter how much flannel they put on it the numbers don't lie when an investor looks deep enough.

It's not just that but the endless stream of lies that's being told. I read on here that Flitshit was "honest" and said sorry! Sorry for telling lies? How the f**k is that being honest I ask you? This is from a man who should be in control of the finances, afterall he is the finance director. Now if he's just a yes man for PR then what's the point of him being there? There you go there's a £200,000 per year saving by dumping his useless ass. Put in to persective that is almost DOUBLE what the chancellor of the exchequer earns for running the country's finances. Slightly less then the three times amount PR gets more than the Prime minister.

Whilst those lot are on the board no one is going to invest, if they were then they would have by now surely. The only other out for the club is if promotion is managed. However we've got Dave Jones not Jesus Christ as manager.

Then very soon the club are going to have to come to the fans cap in hand looking for ticket money or some other scheme they think up? Do they honestly think that they can fool us again? The only way they'll get money out of the fans again on mass is if this board fucks off and there's another more trusting one in place.

On a finishing note I bet you these cut backs PR talked about will be on the lowest paid staff at the club. Oh well now they've saved themselves 5.60 an hour everything will be just fine.

I agree with you unless things radically change I can't see any other option but for the directors to come cap in hand to the supporters again and if they do what response do they expect to get after today's stitch up?

I personally think if the Malaysians exist then that has to be the only hope. I remember that Annis was once told the club had to half its debt before they would be interested.

Since then the Langston debt has gone from £15m to £10m (for now any way) the taxman should be paid (£2.6m) and the HoS is off the clubs books (£3m)

Whether that's enough I don't know but I suppose that's what the Board might be striving for, if it was though why not tell us?
