We've only had bits of it, and from one person's perspective.

I will look forward to reading a full report from Dave, as his write ups are normally top notch. Whether or not it will be much different from what we've had on here I don't know

The Trust in bed with PR?

WHERE DID YOU GET THAT ASSUMPTION FROM?

The trust is a representative organisation run by the fans for the fans...

I personally think we should rid ourselves of Peter Ridsdale and still do not understand why the major shareholders are backing him...why not advertise the position and get someone in who can control a budget and make our club an attractive proposition for potential investors

Corky, Tracy was on BBC Radio Wales this morning stating that the Trust would not ask for a vote of no confidence. Is this because we knew we wouldn't have the backing of the board or, as a collective, the trust still think we can get out of this mess?

We knew others were asking so we concentrated on other issues we wanted to ask about... I am glad the question was asked, unfortunately Guy and Hall are not on the board so they were not asked the question or rather did not have to answer it.

Perhaps I should have titled the thread differently, it was meant to grab attention towards TLG’s post on CCMB more than anything.

I look forward to the Trusts view on today’s events in due course. I just hope we can finally all agree on a course of action as a way forward –  AA board members, CCMB board members, the Trust and the supporters club.

I'm not holding my breathe tho as some people still seem to have the need to ridicule people for trying anything other than what the trust do.

The good citizens of Planet Annis are preparing to storm the towers of Riddler Towers. The battering ram and trebuchets are rolling down Sloper Road.

Borley and Flitcroft are boiling pans of tar, in the kitchen they still owe money on, ready to pour over the great hordes of angry lollers.

There is going to be carnage, all because of a game of footy

what an idiot

You can understand TLG's viewpoint somewhat.

He and the Trust have put all their eggs on an EGM. Obviously, protests, demonstrations have been planned here without Trust involvement. TLG obviously wants the "professional" approach, which is fair enough.

To that extent, the plan failed. An EGM occured - but not due to the Trust being able to force one, but due to a legal requirement with regard to Borley and the land. Preparing questions eagerly no doubt, from what I've read, it seems Ridsdale was as evasive as usual - which means the trust plan didn't work as expected.

Now, it seems apparent this protest will get a large amount of national media coverage. That's something that the Trust simply haven't, as yet, been able to get.

Not a dig at the Trust, just trying to understand why TLG is reacting the way he has. His blog isn't a definitive account - surely shareholders will be provided with minutes of the EGM and can have full transcritions upon request?

I'm a great believer in the Trust and was one of its first members but I'm seriously getting fed up with that line being trotted out when ordinary fans, including Trust members, ask for action.

Frankly I'm appalled that the Trust isn't backing the Demo yet (yes I know it’s on your next meeting 'agenda') but there is too much dragging of feet and I'm also getting sick of being told we are 'wrong' by prominent Trust Members

The Trust Board is quickly earning itself a perception as being as detached as that bunch of idiots who run the club and you seem to be developing your own list of Ridsdalism’s to explain away a reluctance to confront the club’s board.

Therefore I would personally feel better if you ditched the f**king political response and listened more the supporter base with a little less criticism of any suggestions.

Oh BTW it would also help if you checked the Trust Email inbox now and again and encouraged more members to use it for suggestions which should be taken more seriously.

I really don’t enjoy having ago at the Trust but I feel this needs to be said

I'd add to the above by pointing out that the Trust is a representative organisation run by fans for the Trusts members. Not all fans per se.

Interests may co-incide but the Trust does not and cannot represent non members.

Very well put, I support the trust, but do get frustrated at the pace of progress :ayatollah:

Yes I understand that but as a Trust Member I have requested that the Trust backs the Demo. It is annoying when the response is 'the Trust is representative of its members'

Well TBH I don't know of many Trust Members who were kicking the barricades down for the Trust to hold a diversity day. As far as I know all those who were entertained by the Trust were not members, yet it went ahead with the full backing of the trust although it wasn’t really representative of the Trust Members wishes.

That said the diversity day doesn’t really bother me until I think of how a significant amount of Trust Members were conned by the Golden Ticket Fiasco and see their investments threatened by winding up orders but the trust fails to back a peaceful protest.

It is just not consistent.

as a member of the trust I support all methods of moving forward from this situation we have now

today was an egm , there is likely to be another called, and there is to be an organised peaceful demo against whats going on with the club

there have been e mails I believe sent to the trust calling for their support of peaceful protest

if the trust asks for opinions on this I will be saying we should support them 100 percent
