Patience, Relationship, Cash

Wed Feb 24, 2010 8:35 pm

I was speaking to somebody this week, who has done a lot of business and also teaching in China and Asia and one thing he said that was always important when investing in or doing business with Asian companies was that their way of doing business was completely different to the UK/US

In Particular he was referring the People's Republic of China(PRC) but the same to the whole region. He said that when doing business in the PRC the three most important things to remember were:

P- Patience
R- Relationships
C- Cash

It works both ways. He was saying their culture don't tend to rush into things, as seems fairy evident with out situation with the Malaysians. They like to build up relationships and trust rather than go in all guns blazing, which may explain why Borley is now dealing with them rather than Ridsdale!

It does seem as if there is still hope, and that the Malaysians are still interested - the fact they they did invest an additional £300k in January is definitely a bonus in my opinion.
By the sounds of things they don't like rushing into business, and place a lot of importance on good relationships and trust.
I say we need to back Borley rather than turn on him, and hope he can pull it off.

What other hope have we got without new investment anyway?

if we are to support Boreley, he needs to post on here and explain his actions today and his plans for the future

No he doesn't.

I am sure the Malaysians may see that as back stabbing. They may not trust Ridsdale but 2 wrongs do not make a right.
