IS AS BAD AS PR IN MY OPINION.
Last Season, Season before, each year DJ says he has the Best Squad of players ever.
DJ chooses them, DJ and PR give higher wages than nearly any club in this Division, £14,000 a Week for Hudson, when Charlton were paying £9,000 a week and relegated
They spend Millions out on Wages and both agree we pay way above what we should do, So maybe if they spent more wisely, we would have a Bigger Squad.
They Both are in the TOP 2 WAGES IN OUR LEAGUE THEM SELVES.
DJ if he was a proud man he would speak out but he doesnt, PR couldnt afford to Sack, THEY ARE BOTH AS BAD AS EACH OTHER, THEY ENJOY ENOUGH HOLIDAYS TOGETHER.

they go on hols together
Sat Feb 27, 2010 9:18 pm
well said but how do we get both of them out of this club
Sat Feb 27, 2010 9:21 pm
annis agree im so f*cking pissed off he is inconsistent arogant stubborn and he has no clue what to do if we are losing stoke hull burnley all got promoted on smaller budgets yet we are still here he knew we were under an embargo he knew that even if we handed our money over we may not gettin the players yet he was still bumping his gums on how great the deal was he is PR same as PR full of shit and dont get me started on his excuses for losing....
PISSED OFF IN BRISTOL....

Agree 100% Annis.
Posted this in another thread but totally apt in response to this one also......
"I CAN'T KEEP HAVING A GO AT THE SAME PLAYERS AS THEY'LL JUST SWITCH OFF"
So said our Manager following today's game on Radio Wales.........
the comment above was made by 'Moans' with reference to the players being in the dressing room after the game today and what he felt he could or could not say to them
Just what exactly does Jones do for the £67,000 per MONTH that he takes from the club then?
- HE CHOSE to sign the players we have.
- HE CHOSE the size of squad we have
- HE CHOSE to have a squad with a monthly wage bill costing double that of Swansea and only just behind Premier League Portsmouth.
I am livid. He hides behind the "Feel sorry for me, we have no bodies and our hands were tied in the window" When the reality is:
- HE KNEW since "the autumn" that we had a transfer embargo
- HE KNEW that his(?) idea to spend all the Golden Ticket money on players was subject to us effectively winning the Malaysian Lottery
- HE KNEW that he had to work with HIS smaller and HIS more expensive squad than elsewhere in the Division based on THE FACT THAT his best mate Pinocchio Pete had overspent again......
Crying about it and using it as an excuse 6 months later doesn't wash 'Moans' you arrogant CCFC supporter hater.
In the same interview he even suggested we don't blame the board for our current plight - Words fail me, but I suppose with PR paying him £800k and gifting his missus a chunck of shares, no wonder he supports his partner(s) in crime
This guy 'Moans' is an utter baffoon - £1.2million a month on wages and he's scared they might switch off if he bollocks them, as he can't drop them at the moment DUE TO HIS SQUAD SIZE AND POLICY to SPEND BIG TIME BUT AS A RESULT HAVE LESS DEPTH TO CALL UPON IF INJURIES OCCUR.
SPENDING A FORTUNE (THAT WE DON'T HAVE) ON PLAYERS SALARIES AND HAVING A SMALLER SQUAD INTO THE BARGAIN THAN MOST WAS ***YOUR DECISION*** 'MR MOANS' - LIVE WITH IT. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE, PERIOD.
Rotten to the core,
Peter

I certainly dont feel sorry for him and I just dont rate him as a manager. He has given us a small squad for the last few seasons and everytime we fade away. He plays 4-4-2 consistantly against 4-5-1 and we all know what happens, we lose or give away winnable games.
This guy does not learn or perhaps is too old to change his ways. We need change for next season.

Great post Peter

He has clearly lost all respect from the players & the fans, his time is running out.
Sat Feb 27, 2010 10:26 pm
i dont feel sorry for him he gets paid to do his job
but its easy for us to have a pop at him, he is in a no win situation, if he praised the fans he is 'buttering up' if he criticises he should be 'sacked'.
and yes, as 'fans' we are a 'fickle' bunch

We need a massive clear out as a club.
Players, management and board.
WE NEED PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY CARE FOR THIS CLUB.

The players and the money they are paid is incredible.
Very bad management. Yes he did get some rough diamonds but there have been far more costly duds.

Just look at his stats as a manager - they speak for themselves
Sat Feb 27, 2010 11:29 pm
Err, I think you'll find Portsmouths wage bill is far larger than ours when you're paying John Utaka £80k a week alone

Thanks for your helpful and well meaning(?!) 'input' Alex - If Utaka is on £80k a week then our £1.2m p.m versus Pompey's £1.8m p.m is even more worrying. As, if by taking out his £320k a month pay shows the difference between 'bust' Portsmouth and 'everything is fine' CCFC's wage bill (even though we don't get £30m a year Sky Money) by taking out ONE PLAYER is a mere £220k per month..........then hey, and there was me thinking that Pompey's £2.5m a month Sky payment meant that our wage bill was of cartoon proportions compared to income showed we were up shit creek. Obviously not then listening to you!!!!
Alex, you obviously know best

They are great words but only words. The only people who really care for the club are the supporters.
Whether we like it or not players, managers and directors are here for the money first, glory second.
I have very good info that the club are seriously thinking about offerring ordinary supporters the chance to buy shares in the club with a long term view to owning it.
If that does materialise we will soon see who cares enough to get involved and hopefully stop the rot.
