I started a Ridsdale out chant today and...

Sat Feb 27, 2010 10:03 pm

Quite a few joined in, but I was also shouted at by a number of people. What has to be done for these people to see what the tw*t is doing to our club?

I think we would have to go into admin for some people to open their eyes.

maybe, just maybe they went to Preston to support their team for 90 mins
time enough for your chants after the final whistle,

demonstrate by all means,before/after game, but once the game starts as you expect the players to give 100% ,then so should the fans

think its called being a 'supporter'

It's about time it was echoed around four corners of the ground.Years gone by we've always stood up & shouted our discontent for chairmen who have'nt been half as bad as him. He's getting away with blue murder & i reckon a united voice aimed at him & he'll soon be gone.

The problem is we have a lot of fans who have lost the passion for the club, they are more than happy just to sit there and let our club get raped.

To be honest I have wanted to start something in the Family Stand but I am of the opinion where I am sat, if I do I will end up in confrontation with other fans

Yes we did go to support the team. We started chanting well after Enkelmans clanger. That was near the end of the game, not quite the end but pretty close. Thats when we started chanting. That is we have had a bellyfull of this panto that the club is performing and having us SUPPORTERS look like idiots for supporting them.

If you are uncomfortable about this then I would suggest you stay away because if this team of ours keeps performing like this then the chants will become more occasional during the match. Trust me, this is going to be unadvoidable such is the human nature of your supporter.

We were 3 - 0 down and most of our fans had left. I had sung in support of our team all game but had had enough.

Mate, in all fairness, by the time the Ridsdale out chants had started the game was well and truly put to bed (seriously, I've never seen us so shit and I was at Hillsborough and Barnsley this season!).

I think we had every right to sing it and express our frustration, though I do think some people heard "Jonesy out" which was also accurate.
