You can see that his foot is planted solid on the ground and shawcross has caught him on the inside of the ankle in slow mo it shows that it was mis timed more than anything.

I looks like he is the only one that was keeping calm. The Arsenal players all just seemed to stop and not quite know what to do.

Maybe an even worse angle
All the best Aaron

Ye, sometimes this can change a player for years. Look at Eduardo never been as good since his injury, same with a few other players. I think is was Cisse for Liverpool broke his leg and they following that he was never really seen again.
One thing on Aarons side is his age he still has 15 years at the top level, so hopefully he surgery and everything will go smootly and he can get back on the pitch and back to his best.
Also I feel sorry for Shawcross it wasnt a bad tackle and you could see he went for the ball it was just Aaron was to quick for him. Hopefully Shawcross can put it put of his mind and get back playing well.
Get well soon Ramsey

Horrible tackle.
It was a slightly miss-timed tackle that happened very quickly - i dont think Shawcross was meant to cause any kind of injury. The red card was the only thing the ref could do, and No doubt Shawcross will wish he could turn back time. The lad was in tears walking off, and as usual i think the Arsenal players over reacted. Big respect to Whelan, a true professional. Wenger seems to think that teams have a vendetta against his players - but all i see is bad coincedence.
Get well soon Aaron, I'm sure you'll be back to your best for next season.

all his players either get battered or broken legs, if people dont like the way arsenal play, or haven't go the skill to play agaisnt them then they should refrain from just lundging in!
that can end peoples careers, shawcross is a c**t!!

I never disagreed with you in the fact that Arsenal are prone to this because they are just so skillful along the ground. Teams that play against them tend to use Strength and pure Physical attributes to try to muscle them around. It was a shocking tackle that shawcross used all his body weight in, but i still think it was non intent. He was merely trying to win the ball.
I feel deeply for Aaron and hope it wont affect his career, as he is raw talent!

You can see it is this and Shawcross will live with this for the rest of his life - Ramsey went in and Shawcross did the same an unlucky tackle yes - red card over reaction in my eyes.
