Credit where credit is due

Mike Morris post to Steve Borley last night was well thought out and spot on.

"t's difficult to know what to believe Steve. Are you asking us to stand idle while Peter and his mates take away their hefty paychecks while asking ther fans for money based on false promises.

The Malaysians might be a viable option but we've seen what happens to poetential investors like that blaggard Steele. Ridders fell for it hook like and sinker and took the bloke to Kiwi's FFS.

Peter is a chancer. He's based his promises on what might happen, and not realistically what will happen.

I appreciate you can't attempt to stand against the strength of the rest of the board, but you can't stop fans who feel they have been betrayed from having their say.

We've done nothing wrong. We have put our hands in our pockets.

You are subjecting yourself to ridicule by doing Peter's blackmailing for him.

We are an honest bunch of fans who have put up with crap for years and years. I think as fans we also got greedy expecting top players and top facilities sold under Sam's dream and brought through by Peter. But there comes a time when reality needs to be faced and we as fans can see that things are spiralling out of control but the board continued to sell the dream and charged for it as well. An apology and an admission that we were missold is a start, but it goes nowhere near what's required to make it up to the supporters.

I don't know if Peter even can repair the damage caused by that one incident (let alone the winding up orders flying around like bullets at a pheasant shoot).

The Malaysians might just like to see a set of fans who care, unless they are looking for an apathtic bunch of supporters who will turn up like drones.

The future of our club is at risk. We don't want to let it go without a fight.

The sad backdrop to this is that it's starting to tell on the pitch and in the dressing room. We have so much potential to offer. A stadium, a fanbase, loyal supporters who will turn up to see good football and who will spend if required. We even have one of the best teams in the division when our strongest side is out. The squad though is lacking. Players being played when injured, kids thrown in to central midfield against the likes of Chelsea. A good lesson for them but not right really.

All we need is a decent leader to do right by the fans first before helping himself and his mates. If we get that then we'll be tolerant, we'll accept the consequences but be straight, honest and realistic."
