THE TRUST/TLG

Tue Mar 02, 2010 12:36 pm

I believe in the work the trust is doing and the stronger the trust gets the better for all supporters. The worry i have is that one of their spokesmen TLG is doing is best to annoy fans and try to divide the fans. Surely the role of the trust is to unite all fans of the club. Are the views on here posted by TLG the views of himself or the trust? I think the trust will struggle to gain numbers and a reputation with fans as long as TLG carries on speaking out the way he does. I was all up for joing the trust and i know many more where but we are put off by the comments of TLG. I think he needs to consider is posistion within the trust.

I have spoken as an individual, not as a Trust spokesman.

Tell me, what have I said that you have found so irritating?

All Trust board members have to be elected by the members and if the members are unhappy with the views of any of the elected members then they have every right to vote people off.

What people must also understand is that everyone is a volunteer and everyone works very hard week after week within the organisation but they also surely have the right to make a personal opinion?

Ebbw vale blue you just made an opinion under an alias...you could write what you like with no come backs at all because you are not accountable...TLG is accountable for what he writes but only to himself, unless he states its Trust business then its nothing to do with the Trust....t

Have I missed something

I know what the trust's view is on it but I have not seen a view fom TLG - Am I to assume he dont support the protest and if so why ?

On CCMB TLG posed a question what would happen if the fans were successful in persuading the present board/major shareholders to stand down/pull out.

It was a fair question but of course gives the perception that TLG believes that any organised march is futile as even if it achieved what appears to be aiming for.

Personally I believe that removing Ridsdale (as a sacrifice for the season ticket scam) would be enough to placate the fans and he could be replaced by Flitcroft until the end of the season or until we find out if the Malaysians are coming in or not.

TLG has already stated he believes a march is pointless.

I'm sure if the spiders had suggested it to him as a tactic it would be a mavellous idea!

Agreed, I think that the removal of Ridsdale would placate the supporters. It probably would not effect much at the club, if Flitcroft took over, he would run the club just as badly, maybe! However, most supporters would be happy to see Ridsdale not take any more money out of the club for the appalling job that he has done and is currently doing.

Cheers - Would be interested to hear his comments on here as to why the post he feels is pointless - Nothing ventured nothing gained in my opinion

The reason I will protest if I can get back from gloucester in time is I want my lad to continue to be able to support the football club he has grown up with since birth and when he eventually has kids he can take them down like I did for him - But not playing in a welsh league - he went to his first FA Cup Final Aged 7

I am sure that would warrant anyone getting up of there backside and giving up half hour of there time to do a walk that they would already be doing anyway - If they cant then they dont deserve a club !!!

I do see where TLG is coming from but for me the march isn't an attempt to overthrow the powers, it's us fans using the freedom of speech to express our unhappiness and anger at the way we and our club have been treated. I know getting rid of the board right now will not solve anything but it doesn't mean I don't want us to protest against the way the club is being run.
