STEVE BORLEY OFF TO MALASIA

Just had a good chat with him today and he is very hopeful that they will be in finally by the end off March. He flies off next week as you all know.
I just told him how fantastic the Support from all Generations there is for this March and He actually said as long as its done in the right manner and not directed at ALL THE BOARD,Then Maybe some good my come from it.

I told him, things have to change THIS MONTH MArch not April as the Club will be finished and he actually agreed there Needs to be change.

SO LETS SHOW THEM ON SATURDAY THAT THIS WILL BE ONE HELL OF A MARCH AND A PEACEFUL ONE AND ALL ABOUT THE RIGHT THINGS AND THATS THAT WE CARE FOR OUR CLUB.

If Ridsdale took Annis' books out of the club shop for calling a vote of no confidence, what would Ridsdale think of Borley agreeing with him? I can't imagine he'd take too kindly to it.

The rest of the board would never have agreed with it, do Borley couldn't really back it by himself. It's annoying, but I think he still knows what's best for the club.

Fair enough, but it sounds as if Borley is using Annis and it was only on another Board that Borley was stating some people have "personal vendetta's" against certain people if you get my drift.

So has Borley already changed his tune from, his post the other night, imploring people not to march?

Sounds to me as if Borleys going to be doing with Ridsdale what he did with Sam Hammam i.e blame all decisions taken, on one man, and that he couldn't speak up against it as they would not listen to him and it would end up losing his place on the board. So he would rather go along with everything, than lose his place as in the longer term the club would suffer with out real supporters being on the inside rather than on the outside. I could understand that in h Sam Hammams case, as it was his investment that was getting wasted, but this time the supporters money has been gained under false pretences, that is unforgiveable. Some may see it as even more dastardly in Borleys case as he knows many as friends and aquaintances, where as, Ridsdale, has no love for the club or its fans, its just a means to an end.

Definitely. Just look at the land deal, he had no obligation to build the House of Sport and will not really make a return on it but it freed up land that the club can sell to raise funds. It would obviously be better had we not got rid of either, but it's not as if we had many other options.

I think people forget that he has done a lot for this club, including the free contracting work on bits of the stadium that he paid for. ie. additional seatin in the corners, and the changing room fit out's was paid for by him I believe.

I know he had some of the big contracts for the stadium, but I don't think he's even been paid for much of that yet - never mind the other money he's owed by the club

But the demo is against the board, not just Ridsdale. Borley has been a party to this regieme, he is not an innocent bystander, but an integral part of the shambolic mismanagement of our club. He is either incompetent in not realising what was going on, or did realise but wasn't one, clever enough to do something about it or two, too spineless. Borley to me is coming across as yet another egotistical prick more concerned about how he fares rather than the wellbeing of the club. If our only hope of salvation is via Borley enticing the Malaysians, which I believe to be the case, I hold out little hope at all.

This myth perpetuated that fans protesting against a deceitful, incompetent regieme is harmful to the club is astounding and laughable. Firstly, would any prospective investors be unduly perturbed to see fans demonstrating against the present incumbents, thus making them more keen to sell and weakening their position of power and bargaining position? Secondly, would propsective investors be so concerned that fans have the passion to fight for the very entity they propose investing a huge sum of money in? Thirdly, wouldn't it be the cold hard facts of our perilous financial position that is the real contentious issue for them? That is without even touching on the sheer incompetence displayed by Ridsdale and the club as a whole on so many fronts.
